We drove north out of Virginia Beach across the 17 mile engineering marvel that makes up the Chesapeake Bay Bridge & Tunnel system. For $12 you can drive through the tunnel and across the bridges. Fairly cool this morning (30F) We had an easy start and drove into Lexington to tour the downtown and visit the gravesite of Stonewall Jackson. We departed the campsite and drove to Richmond, VA arriving about 1 PM. We found an Auto Club site and picked up information on North & South Carolina and Florida.
