Todays drive brought us to Burford House where Prince Rupert escaped the Parliamentarians at Worster and went to Burford House in September 1642. It is also Garden Centre. Then we travelled to the tiny town of Greete. The old house and Church are rumoured to have been a place where Henry VIII visited and lived as a small boy in the very early 1500’s.
