Rockport / Corpus Christi, TX
Spending the week at the KOA Rockport campground. Our day trips have included the migratory marshlands, the wintering grounds of the whooping cranes and various other birds. We have also toured the USS Lexington aircraft carrier.
San Antonio, TX
We spent 2 days at the KOA campground a few miles from the city center. We did the tour of the Alamo and the river walk & boat tour of the city center. Also had our Mexican food lunch by the river. Beautiful place.

We packed a lunch and drove into the centre of Dallas to the George W Bush Presidential Library located on the grounds of the Southern Methodist University. The cost was $16 each. WinStar Casino, Thackerville, OK
We drove about 1 hour south to the Fun. Town RV Park adjacent to the casino. It’s a very beautiful park, 500 cement back in and pull thru sites, all immaculately landscaped. We caught the shuttle to the casino. It’s massive 1 mile long!! We walked a lot of it, signed up for players cards
Chicksaw Interpretation Centre, Sulphur, OK
We took a short drive from our campground in Paul’s Valley over to Davis and Sulphur, OK. First stop was in Davis at the Bedre Chocolate Store. Next stop was a few miles away in Sulphur at the Chickasaw Interpretation Centre. Incredible world class centre with lots of history and artifacts.
Oklahoma City, OK
We spent 2 days at the Oak Bluff RV Park in Chandler, OK. A small town on Route 66 with lots of old vintage era buildings. We drove into Oklahoma City to see the location of the Oklahoma City bombing and museum. Incredible place and a very thorough presentation of the event and history.
Springfield, MO
Nice, warm easy day today. We spent the morning relaxing at the RV site, then decided to go and explore the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden. Entrance cost was $6 each.
