We made the 1 hour drive East to Carefree to AZ. Great artsy town with great stores, art galleries and restaurants. The in town areas are all landscaped with desert gardens. We enjoyed the English Rose Tea House, great food and service. 10/10.
Today we got to do a ride along into the desert SW of Wickenburg. A great opportunity to see a new part of AZ. We saw black Apache Tears and Desert Rose rocks. Lots of Cacti and the flowers are beginning to bloom. Lots of lizards running around and 1 horned toad.
Sharon & I drove 45 minutes East to Anthem, AZ to the Veterans Memorial. It was created with a unique design than allows the sun to shine through onto the Emblem at 11 AM on November 11.
We were invited to go on a trip into the desert North of Wickenburg. It was a great day, sunny & warm.
